Blackbird Shift Lead

Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly, Regular, “At Will” Work Status, Full-time
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Shift Leads are responsible for overseeing the performance of trainees and managing the day-to-day operations of the store. They are tasked with enhancing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the Blackbird/Sally's team. Shift Leads will guide the counter teams in using the POS system, pulling doughnuts from bakery racks, packaging them in branded bags or boxes, preparing coffee, espresso, and tea, providing upsell training, and engaging with every guest to build relationships and encourage repeat business.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate equipment issues with the facilities manager and work with that department to ensure timely maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and consolidation of products
- Maintain inventory ordering through Xtrachef
- Feedback on training staff with Retail General Manager
- Bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic to the team
- Proactive communication with all team members and management
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Be familiar with and follow expectations in the Gallows Group employee handbook.
- Complete all daily checklists and required tasks
- Maintain a strong knowledge of our products and offerings
- Attend monthly store lead meetings
COMPENSATION:
- An hourly rate of $17.00 an hour + Tips (overtime rate of $25.50 per hour + tips)
- Paid sick time for all employees (full and part time - 40 hours per year after 90 days of employment)
- PTO of 80 accrued hours per year (eligible to use after first 90 days)

REQUIREMENTS:
- ServSafe Food Handlers Certified
- Allergen Awareness Certified
- Safety and sanitation training
- 35 + hours per week
- Passed handbook +training test
- Passed Final knowledge Test
- Cash Handling training
- May require working at another location when other shift leads are off.
- Availability to attend monthly meetings
AVAILABILITY:
- Full time 4-5x days a week.
- Early Morning Shifts
- Holidays + Weekends may be required.
